Our Virginia Beach park sits right behind KOA Campgrounds — and it shares something pretty remarkable with its neighbors: airspace with Naval Air Station Oceana.
Home of the F/A-18 Super Hornet Squadrons, the pilots stationed at NAS Oceana fly approximately 219,000 operations a year. On any given tour, you may look up mid-zip and catch a fighter jet blazing overhead. Not a bad backdrop for an adventure.
